Ways to Give

Every Dollar Counts

As a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) community health center, you can help Eisner Health continue building healthy communities across Los Angeles County by supporting our efforts to provide comprehensive health care to tens of thousands of children, adults, and seniors we serve every year. Below are ways you are able to support Eisner Health. If you have any questions, please contact Leigh Stenberg at lstenberg@eisnerhealth.org, or call (213) 588‑0748.

Monthly Giving

A recurring gift of your choice allows you to make an easy and lasting impact.

Gifts of Stock

Transfer stock to Eisner Health and enjoy the tax benefits! Donating appreciated securities, such as stocks or mutual funds, is a tax-wise approach to supporting the work of Eisner Health. The benefits available to you when making a contribution of stock or mutual funds may include:

  • Avoiding federal and state tax on the capital gain.
  • Receiving an income tax deduction (federal and most states) for the full market value of your gift if you itemize.
  • Deductions on your tax return and have held the assets one year or longer.
  • Making a larger gift at a lower original cost to you.

Before you make a gift of appreciated securities, however, you should consult your financial planner or tax adviser to determine how the potential tax advantages described here apply to your specific situation.

Please contact Leigh Stenberg at lstenberg@eisnerhealth.org, or call

Matching Gifts

Many companies in the United States match their employees’ contributions to qualified charities. Now you can double or triple your gift with even greater benefit to Eisner Health!
4 Steps to Remember When Making a Matching Gift

Keep a record of your tax-deductible donation to Eisner Health. It may be needed in order to verify your donation. For your records, Eisner Health’s tax ID number is: 95-1690966.

Contact your Human Resources or Community Affairs Department to find out whether your contribution qualifies for a match.

Follow your company’s matching gift guidelines. Employers have unique gift applications, requirements, and procedures. For example, you may need to register on your company’s website or complete a matching form for Eisner Health’s verification. Some restrictions may apply.

If a matching gift application form requires Eisner Health’s certification, please complete and mail it to:

Eisner Health

Development | Matching Gift
1530 S. Olive Street
Los Angeles, CA 90015

You and your employer will receive a letter officially acknowledging you both for the gift, which is tax-deductible to the full extent of the law.

Planned Giving

Help Eisner Health continue to be a health home for Angelenos for the next 100 years—consider a legacy gift through your estate plan.

Planned giving can be as simple as including a bequest provision in your will or naming Eisner Health as a beneficiary of your retirement plan or life insurance policy. If you are looking for a way to supplement your income, consider a charitable gift annuity, or charitable remainder trust, which are gifts that will support Eisner Health and pay you, or other designated beneficiaries, income for life.

Your gift, no matter the size, will help ensure the health and wellness of future generations. Through planned giving, you can support a department of Eisner Health that means the most to you—whether it’s a specific medical department, such as pediatrics or mental health, supporting equipment and supplies, outreach initiatives, or an unrestricted gift to help grow Eisner Health’s endowment fund.

Members receive special benefits and recognition. We invite you to join others in Legacy Circle by remembering Eisner Health as you plan for the future. If you have made a provision for Eisner Health already, we encourage you to let us know.

Eisner Health’s tax ID number is: 95-1690966.

For more information about planned giving, please contact Leigh Stenberg at lstenberg@eisnerhealth.org, or call (213) 588‑0748.

In-Kind Donations

In-kind gifts to Eisner Health provide materials and services free of charge. These donations save us dollars, which we are able to apply directly to the programs and services we provide.

Though there are many opportunities for in-kind gifts, some needed items include:

  • New toys for our annual toy drive.
  • New medical supplies (contact us to make sure it is something we can use).
  • New baby supplies for expectant mothers at our Women’s Health Center.
  • New books for our “Reach out and Read” Program.
  • Gift cards and event tickets to offer as staff and patient incentives.

If you’re interested in giving an in-kind donation, please contact Leigh Stenberg at lstenberg@eisnerhealth.org, or call (213) 588‑0748.

All in-kind gifts are tax deductible as determined by the IRS. Please consult your tax advisor or IRS publications for details.

For safety and infection control reasons we are unable to accept any used or handmade items.

Sponsor an Event

As an event sponsor, your company will be supporting a worthwhile nonprofit while receiving valuable marketing benefits.

Corporate sponsorships are a wonderful way to partner with Eisner Health. We also have opportunities for your staff to volunteer at our events.

We currently have the following sponsorship events available:

  • Spring Fling: Health and Wellness Fair and more for patients in the San Fernando Valley.
  • National Health Center Week & Backpack Giveaways: Events at all of our sites with backpack giveaways and health education for all patients.
  • Sunset Social: Our annual fundraiser.
  • Winter Festival: Health and Wellness Fair with toy giveaways and more in DTLA. Community members and donors who would like to support Eisner Health patients and families during the holiday season are encouraged to participate in the toy drive.

We also have an annual sponsorship option where you can help support all four of these annual events.

For more information, please contact Leigh Stenberg at lstenberg@eisnerhealth.org, or call (213) 588‑0748.
