Effective March 15, 2024, CEO Warren Brodine resigned from his position as CEO of Eisner Health for reasons related to his family. Both Warren and the Board are grateful for Warren’s time at Eisner Health, especially during the pandemic. The Board appointed Monica Gutierrez-McCarthy as Interim CEO and asked she continue her role as COO during their regular meeting on March 14, 2024.
“On behalf of the board, I want to thank Warren for his valuable contributions at Eisner Health these past six years,” said Stan Berkman, Chairman of Eisner Health’s Board of Directors. “Warren’s leadership has been crucial to strengthening our foundation and positioning Eisner Health for our next growth phase. Monica’s experience as a seasoned executive in community health and leading all operational aspects of our business will serve Eisner Health well as Interim CEO + COO. I have every confidence that her leadership will allow for a seamless transition.” I also want to thank all of our staff and leadership for their tireless efforts on behalf of our patients and community.
Ms. Gutierrez-McCarthy has held the role of Chief Operating Officer since joining Eisner Health in February 2021. In this role she oversees all clinic operations, information technology, data management, sustainability, and expansion. During her time at COO, Ms. Gutierrez-McCarthy expertly led our COVID-19 vaccination program for our patients, LAUSD, and community at large, implemented a new electronic medical record system (athena) and population health tool (Relevant), modernized our workflows, and is currently overseeing the expansion of two new sites in the San Fernando Valley, and reopening school sites that were closed during the pandemic.
“What unifies and drives Eisner Health is our mission: to improve the health and well-being of the people and communities we serve, together,” said Gutierrez-McCarthy. “This transition is an opportunity to further our long-term goals. I am grateful for Warren’s leadership and partnership. As we work to increase patient access and provide quality medical care and community resources to all those who walk through our doors, I remain focused on amplifying the strong foundation that’s been set these past five years by Warren.”
Previous to joining Eisner Health, Gutierrez-McCarthy was the Director of Operations Enhancement at OCHIN, a national non-profit organization designed to leverage information technology and data to enhance and support community health center operations and clinic outcomes to promote community health. Monica also served as Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at SAC Health System in San Bernardino, CA.
