[Los Angeles, CA] — Eisner Health, a federally qualified health center in Los Angeles, and a leader in delivering compassionate, high-quality healthcare to underserved communities in Los Angeles, is pleased to announce the appointment of Monica Gutierrez-McCarthy, MS, as its new President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective December 16, 2024. Gutierrez-McCarthy has served as the organization’s Interim CEO since March and brings over 15 years of experience in community health leadership to her new role.
Since joining Eisner Health in February 2021 as Chief Operating Officer (COO), Monica has been instrumental in advancing the organization’s mission and operational excellence. She has spearheaded initiatives that have strengthened service delivery, expanded access to care, and improved health outcomes for patients across the region. With her appointment as CEO, Gutierrez-McCarthy aims to build upon Eisner Health’s 104-year history of care and innovation.

Before joining Eisner Health, Gutierrez-McCarthy served as Director of Operations Enhancement at OCHIN, a national non-profit organization dedicated to leveraging information technology and data to enhance community health center operations and clinic outcomes. Her earlier leadership roles include serving as Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at SAC Health System in San Bernardino, CA. Throughout her career, Gutierrez-McCarthy has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to driving transformational change as a service-centered leader and strategist.
