Dear Friends of Eisner Health,
These are extraordinary times, and I truly hope this message finds you well, and sheltering in place. I wanted to update you about the great work Eisner Health and our team are doing, and what your support means to us right now. I could not be prouder of the way our caring and professional staff members have responded to keep our team safe and our patients healthy.
Switch to telehealth.
When COVID-19 hit, Eisner Health immediately converted about 80% of our patient visits to telephone and telehealth care. For those still coming to our sites, Eisner Health established outdoor testing and screening of everyone accessing our facilities, curbside delivery from our pharmacy, and in-car COVID-19 testing. Our team is also developing plans for how we care for patients in the “new normal” – how telemedicine will still flourish, patients will be cared for in new ways and in new places, and how a visit to Eisner Health will be cutting-edge.
Changing care demand.
Demand for mental health care is soaring, with our integrated behavioral health team operating at 125% of capacity in April. The need to care for people experiencing homelessness has also risen, and Eisner Health is expanding our services to these vulnerable members of our community.
Personal Protective Equipment and supplies.
Our supply chain has shifted to only sourcing PPE and other critical supplies. We need additional money for more masks, face shields, goggles and gowns, as well as technology (such as iPads and mobile hotspots) to treat more patients remotely, like our homeless patients.
Despite these challenges, Eisner Health remains 100% committed to our mission to improve the physical, social, and emotional well-being of people in the communities we serve, regardless of income. Your contribution today makes an immediate difference for our patients, their families, and the entire Eisner Team who are completely dedicated to seeing this through.
Please support us by clicking here to donate. We cannot thank you enough. If there’s anything we can also do for you right now, please let me know.
With deepest gratitude,
Warren J. Brodine
